Shakespeare's exact birthdate is still unknown to the world, however, it is estimated to be shorty before the date of his Christening. This means that we first hear of the young William as a baby being baptised. His baptism occurred on the 26th April 1564.
William was born into a prosperous, middle-class family, who (though they weren't of any royalties or titles) were considered to be better off than majority of the other workers and peasants of the time.
He was raised/ grew up in a country side- and his memories of these times featured in many of his late works.
--------------------------------
Like many, he was sent off to go to school at a very young age.
William attended a "Petty School" at the age of four- where he learnt how to master basic every-day skills, and the art of reading.
At the age of 6, girls who attended school were expected to leave and be taught at home by their mothers or by a private tutor if they were rich. At the same age (6), boys could continue to receive free education at a local grammar school.
The schools back then also taught the students the language of Latin (for those who wanted to go to university).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Little is known about William's life between the ages of 15- until he was described as an 'up-coming playwright' in London.
The next we saw of his name was when the Church declared his marriage with Anne Hathaway- in November 1582.
He was 18 at the time and she was 26; the two were already expecting their first child when married (3 months).
This child was later born on May 1583 and was named Susanna.
Anne and William later have twins= Judy and Hamnet- born in 1585.
William Shakespeare did not attend university- but still turned out to be one of the most successful writers of the time.
